I have been using an amazing peel and stick wallpaper on a few of the walls at our warehouse. I seem to have a few odd pieces left and I do not want to throw them away. You know as a crafter I have to come up with something fun to do with them. This particular wall paper is a brick print so I thought it would be fun if we could create a large heart that looks like a brick heart.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. Large piece of cardboard
2. Peel and stick wallpaper
3. Scissors
4. Marker
5. Large piece is shipping paper or wrapping paper
I am using a large piece of shipping paper because it is easy for me to use to create a pattern for my heart.
I folded the paper in half and cut out the size heart I wanted. You can create this heart to be a a big or as small as you want.
I then traced the heart pattern onto my large piece of cardboard. The next step is to cut your cardboard heart out.
Once you have your cardboard heart you will want to apply the peel and stick wallpaper. My heart is very large so I will be adding two pieces of the peel and stick wallpaper. If you are using two pieces you will want to be sure to like e your pattern up.
I will be lining my two pieces of wallpaper up at the center of my heart.
I peeled the back of the wallpaper off and used my hand to smooth the paper over my cardboard heart.
Be sure to smooth out any air bubbles that you might get.
I then lined up my second piece of wallpaper and did the same process.
Once the wallpaper is on the cardboard heart you will flip the heart over.
I then used the scissors to trim off any excess wallpaper.
This is so easy to make and there are so many ways you can display this heart in your home.
I added a wooden love cutout to the center of my heart.
I covered the wooden love cutout with a glitter I got from Target.
I covered the wooden love with Elmer’s glue and then sprinkled on the glitter.
I used hot glue to attach the love to the heart.
You can cover so many things with this peel and stick wallpaper. I hope this will inspire you to get creative and fun decorating your home.
