We recently added some adorable round wooden trays to our collection, and I couldn’t be more excited to get creative with them! The moment I saw these trays, I knew I wanted to use resin to transform them into stunning pieces of decor.
You can find these cute round wooden trays on our website by clicking the links below. They’re perfect for your next creative project!
You can find the list of supplies that I’ll be using down below.
1. Round wooden tray from our website
2. Hot glue
3. Wood flowers from Amazon
4. Gold glitter
5. Resin
You can purchase resin from Walmart, Amazon, and various craft stores. It’s user-friendly and comes with step-by-step directions right on the box, making it easy to get started on your project!
The first step is to glue the wood flowers to the inside of the tray. You can find the wood flowers I’m using on Amazon by clicking my referral link below. This will create a beautiful base for your resin project!
You can add as many wood flowers to the tray as you like for a personalized touch. Once your flowers are securely glued in place, it’s time to mix your resin. I’ve used resin many times and find it very easy to work with! Just remember to mix equal amounts from each bottle to ensure a proper blend. After mixing, carefully pour the resin into the tray, covering the flowers.
I added a touch of fine gold glitter to my resin while mixing both bottles together for a sparkling effect. If you notice any small air bubbles forming, you can use a heat gun to gently pop them. This will help create a smooth and polished finish for your tray!
I poured the resin just high enough to allow the tips of some of the flowers to rise above the surface. This adds dimension and showcases the beauty of the flowers in your finished piece!
This fun tray was incredibly easy to create and will make a beautiful decoration anywhere in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give resin a try—it’s a fantastic way to personalize your decor!
