I was in Target a few months ago and ended up buying a cute shelf in their Dollar Spot. As soon as I saw it I knew that I had to have it to get creative with. This shelf is very cute as is but I want to give it just a slight change.

This shelf would be very cute hanging on a wall and left as is. I want to raise it up and give it more the look of an actual small chair.

I seem to be obsessed with these wooden legs from Home Depot lately. These legs will be very cute added to this shelf.

You’ll want to remove the screws from the wooden legs and then paint the legs to match the shelf.

Once I had the screws removed I then painted the legs with a warm white paint from DecoArt.

Once I had both legs painted I then used a wood glue to attach them to the shelf.

I added a small amount of the wood glue to one end of the leg as shown in photo below.

This was very quick and easy to do. You can use this raised shelf for a variety of things. I thought it would be fun to add some terra cotta pots with candles.

You can find a 4 pack of the candles that I’m using on our website by clicking the link down below.

I love how this turned and I hope it will inspire you to change things up. This shelf was great as is but I love having fun and giving things a different look.
