I recently had antique wooden shoe inserts for sale in my website. They are a cute decoration to add to your home. I love them how they are but I wanted to try and change them up. These are fun to hang in a tree or add to a wreath.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. Decorative tissue paper (I get this tissue paper from Hobby Lobby)
2. Mod podge
3. Paint brush
4. Glue gun
5. Doilies and bling embellishments
6. Ribbons
7. Antique wooden shoe inserts
The first step is to cut or tear your tissue paper into pieces.
I add mod podge onto the wooden shoe insert and then I place the tissue paper on and then add more mod podge over it.
The wooden shoe inserts have a hole that goes through the top. I cut my ribbons about 12 inches long to stick through the hole and tie on the top.
I added a longer ribbon through the hole so that I can hang the shoe.
I then used my hot glue gun to add some doilies and bling embellishments to the top of the wooden shoe inserts.
You can leave these the natural wood or you can creative and decorate them. There are so many different ways you can get creative with these.
