I love to decorate with baskets around my home! For this makeover, we’re using pieces from our Doily Creativity Bundle to add soft texture and vintage charm, then pairing it with a fun painted design for a one-of-a-kind piece. It’s an easy way to turn a basic basket into something perfect for displaying your favorite seasonal florals.

I started by choosing five doilies from our new Doily Creativity Bundle, mixing up the sizes and styles for a layered look. I draped them around the top edge of the basket, then carefully cut a small slit in any doily that crossed over a handle so it could fit neatly around it.
Once I had all of the doilies positioned just how I wanted them, I used a little hot glue to secure each one in place around the basket.
I love this look but I wanted to add something with the new stencils to really make it pop!
I grabbed three different styles of the doily stencils and some waverly chalk paint.
I figured out where I wanted them and then just tapped the brush over the stenial to give it a really cute shabby chic look!
I love how the stenciled details turned out on this basket! The uneven texture of the weave gives the paint a perfectly imperfect, distressed look that adds so much character and makes the whole piece feel even more unique.
I popped my new fall florals in from Amazon and gave it a beautiful fall feel! I love this because I know I will be switching it out for different holidays!
