I seem to have an obsession with decorative dish towels. You will find so many decorative dish towels for all different holidays in the stores. These towels are so pretty that I wanted to come up with a way to display them. We all seem to have some type of wall art which gave me a fun idea to create an interchangeable canvas using dish towels.
The supplies that I will be using are :
1. Dish towels ( my towels are 26” x 20”)
2. Upholstery tacks
3. Scissors
4. Oak colored Gel Stain by DecoArt
5. Light Buttermilk acrylic paint by DecoArt
6. One canvas ( my canvas is 22” x 28”)
7. Paint brush
You will want to paint your canvas any color that you want. I will be using the light buttermilk and then I will be adding some of the Oak colored Gel Stain.
I decided to tear the edges of my dish towel.
You will add 4 of the upholstery tacks to secure the towel in place.
You can easily change out the towels for all different seasons and holidays. I know this will not be for everyone but I love the finished look.
