Summer is here and it’s a great time to wear a hat. I love having fun sun hats and a variety of ball caps for the summer. You can find some plain ball caps in Walmart at a great price. I thought it would be fun to give a simple ball cap a fun makeover.
The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. One plain ball cap from Walmart
2. One bandana from Walmart
3. White acrylic paint
4. Mod Podge for fabric
5. Paint brush
6. Scissors
7. Ultimate Rhinestone Applicator Kit from Totally Dazzled
The ball cap and the bandana are the Time and True brand in Walmart.
The first step is to cut the bandana to fit the brim of the ball cap.
I used an ink pen to trace around the brim.
Once you have the bandana cut you’ll then set it aside and paint the brim.
Once you have the bandana cut you’ll then set it aside and paint the brim.
Once the paint is dry you’ll then add the mod podge.
Add the mod podge to the brim and then place the bandana on top.
Once you have the bandana in place you’ll then add more mod podge over it.
The last step is to add the rhinestones. I’ll be using the heat applicator for this process. You’ll find directions in the kit on how to use this tool. You’ll love how easy this tool is to use and how creative you can get with it.
