We’re so excited to be adding a brand-new fabric pack to the website, and of course, we had to dream up a fun way to get creative with it! Patchwork projects are one of our favorite ways to play with different prints and textures, so we whipped up this charming DIY Patchwork Tree. It’s a simple, budget-friendly project that turns leftover fabric scraps—or your brand-new bundle—into a cheerful piece of décor you can display all season long. Whether you’re using up bits from your stash or diving into our new pack, this little tree is the perfect excuse to sit down, craft, and let your creativity shine.

Here is what you will need for this DIY:

1. Fabric Squares

2. Mod Podge

3. Chalk Paint (Not pictured)

4. Paper Mache Cone From Amazon

5. Scissors

6. A Paint Brush

I started by cutting a bunch of 2-inch squares from the patterns I thought would look the cutest together.

Next I gave the paper mache cone a good coat of chalk paint.

I wanted it fully covered to give the fabric a solid base and help those colors pop.

Once the paint was dry, it was time for the fun part – putting the fabric on the tree. I used a paint brush to put on a layer of mod podge.

Then I started wrapping the fabric around the top of the cone. After the fabric was where I wanted it, I would go back over it with more mod podge.

I decided to do mine so it would look like a patchwork tree, but get creative and figure out how you would lay yours out!

It’s okay if your fabric overlaps – there are no rules when it comes to this.

I continued to do this all the way down the tree and I love how it turned out!
