I love creating fun and unique items for all different holidays. Easter is approaching and I love giving small gifts to my friends and family. I want to create a fun pocket that can be used like a bag or used as a decoration for Easter.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. One set of Dollar Tree cookie sheets

2. Hot glue

3. Scissors

4. Wired sisal rope

5. Chunky knit yarn ( color redwood)

6. Greenery sprig

The first step is to cut the cookie sheets.

I cut the outer edging off of each cookie sheet.

Once you have the sheets cut you’ll then fold each cookie sheet in half.

You’ll want to use a ruler or piece of wood to draw a line from one corner to the other as shown in photo above.

You want create two triangles from the cookie sheets. The next step is to cut about a half inch out from the line you drew.

Once you open the cookie sheets you’ll have two triangles.

Fold the sides of each triangle as shown in photo above.

You’ll want to fold the top piece down also as shown in photo above.

You can cut the top ends at a slant so that if fold better.

Once you have the sides of both triangles folded you’ll then glue both triangles together.

Be sure to glue only the sides together so that you have an opening at the top to create a pocket.

The next step is to start glueing the chunky yarn onto the pocket. I started at the top and worked my way down.

When I got to the bottom I added some hot glue and used a stick to shove the end up under the yarn.

I added some wired sisal rope for a hanger.

I added a greenery to the pocket. This can be used as a simple decoration or a fun way to give a gift.

I hope you’ll get creative and give this fun carrot pocket a try.
