Are you looking for a unique way to display a cold food item? If so then your going to love this idea. I love using all my silver I find from my local thrift stores. By adding a glass insert I found a unique way to keep my shrimp cold for our New Year’s get together.

You will need to find a unique serving dish that has depth to it. I am using an old silver platter with a glass insert. You will also need some type of greenery. I went outside and cut some cypress limbs and berries from a shrub. And last you will need water.

Add your greenery (I rinsed mine before adding) and then your water. Place in your freezer until it is completely frozen.

Once it is completely frozen you just add your shrimp and you have a unique display piece.

This is the perfect way to add to your normal holiday food display. If you are having friends or family over for New Year’s this will be sure to wow them!
