Ok Christmas will be here before you know it and it is time to start thinking about your decorations. When I think about Christmas I think about Santa and the Grinch. We recently made a fun and easy crescent moon santa head here at The Shabby Tree. I just knew there had to be a way to make a crescent moon grinch ornament.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Red chunky yarn

2. Lime green felt

3. Stuffing

4. Glue gun

5. Scissors

6. Wire

7. Wire cutters

8. Faux fur

9. Pen or marker

10. Wooden kabob stick

11. Two 8 inch wire wreath forms (I purchased these from the Dollar Tree)

12. One red ball ornament

The first step is to cut your wire wreath forms.

I cut one section off of each wreath form.

You will then need to cut off the end piece to each wreath form. We will be putting these wreath forms together with back to back. Be sure to flip them when cutting the end so that both end pieces will math up when we join them together.

Once you have the ends cut it is time to attach them together with a piece of wire.

I wrapped the wire around both wreath forms and then wrapped our cut ends to a point.

The next step is to trace your hand onto your green felt. Be sure to have the felt doubled when you cut your hand out.

I then glued my two pieces together. Be sure to only glue around the outside edges. You will be adding stuffing to this hand.

Once your hand is glued together you will then want to add the stuffing. My fingers were too skinny to add stuffing so I only stuffed the center part of the hand.

Once your hand is stuffed I then glued it into the wide end of the wreath form.

The next step is to wrap the wreath form with the red chunky yarn. You will want to start at the pointed end of the wreath form.

I added the red chunky yarn all the way up to the base of the hand. Be sure to glue the end in place.

You will now cut a stop of the faux fur to wrap around the wrist area.

I cut my strip about 2 1/2 inches wide and 12 inches long.

You will want to glue this around the wrist area. I wrapped the faux fur around twice so that the red would not show through.

It is now time to hang your red ball ornament from one of the fingers. I realized that I needed to added a stick to help hold the finger in place . You can cut a small slit in one of the fingers and slide a kabob stick down into the finger. I then wrapped a piece of wire around the end of the stick.

You will then slide the remaining part of the stick into the finger. You will want to leave the wire hanging down and glue your finger back closed.

I then used the wire to attach the red ball ornament.

This is so easy to make and will look amazing on any Christmas tree. This can be hung almost any where in your home but I love how it looks on a tree.
