I want to add some different pops of yellow to my Spring decorations throughout my home. I will be adding a few yellow flowers to some of my vases but I thought it would be fun to create a fun and unique yellow chick. You can find some wooden chick cut outs in a few of the craft stores right now but I ordered one from Amazon.

Here is my Amazon affiliate link for the one I’m using https://amzn.to/3LNUDAa

I will be turning this wooden cut out chick into a fun and unique chick and the supplies I will be using :

1. One wooden chick cut out

2. Two 3oz bags of a yellow Easter grass from Walmart

3. Hot glue

4. Banana Cream colored paint by DecoArt

4. Clay colored chenille cord ribbon from Hobby Lobby

5. Blush colored velvet ribbon from Hobby Lobby

6. Scissors

7. Paint brush

The first thing I did was paint front and back side of the wooden cut out with the banana cream colored paint.

Once I had both sides painted I then hot glued the clay colored chenille cord to the beak and feet.

I purchased this chenille cord from Hobby Lobby.

Once I had the beak and feet covered with chenille cord I then added the Easter grass.

You will want to add the hot glue in sections and then press the Easter grass on top of the hot glue.

I ended up using one bag for each side. Be sure to add hot glue along the edges of the chick.

Once I had the entire chick covered with the Easter grass I then tied a bow around the neck.

This chick was so easy to make and I feel like it is the perfect pop of yellow that I’m looking for. I hope you will have fun and give this a try.
