I was in Dollar Tree shopping and as I was looking at all the kitchen items I noticed some mesh strainers. As soon as I saw them I knew what I could create using them. I wanted some fun spring decorations for my spring tree. I knew looking at these mesh strainers that we can make a simple spring sun hat with them.
The supplies you will need are:
1. Mesh strainers from Dollar Tree
2. Glue
3. Scissors
4. Ribbon (I’m using a strip of cheesecloth)
5. Spray paint (I’m using a cream spray paint)
6. Flower embellishments (I purchased these from Hobby Lobby)
The first step is to spray paint your mesh strainers.
Next you will wrap your strip of ribbon around the mesh strainer.
I cut a small strip from a cheese cloth ribbon that I got from Hobby Lobby.
You will then glue your flowers onto the strainer. I use bigger flowers for the larger strainer and a smaller flower for the smaller strainer.
I placed 2 flowers onto the larger strainer.
I am using a much smaller flower for the smaller strainer. You can find these in Hobby Lobby.
These hats are so easy to make and I hope you will all give them a try. They look so cute on my spring tree.
