I was recently in the Dollar Tree and found a lot of round paper mache boxes. These boxes are birthday boxes but I just knew we could get creative with them. They are round boxes so I thought we could create them into a pumpkin box for Fall.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Round paper mache boxes from the Dollar Tree

2. Orange spray paint

3. Hot glue

4. Sanding sponge

5. Spanish moss

6. Wooden card holders and cards (these are from amazon)

The Dollar Tree has different sizes of these boxes.

I want a more rustic look so I am peeling off the outer layer of paper.

I added hot glue to the inside of the lid to help support and hold the cover in place.

You can use the sanding sponge to help smooth out any of the paper that might still be on there.

I then covered the top and bottom of the box with the orange spray paint.

I added the wooden card holder to the top of the box. This will be the stem to the pumpkin but will also be a message holder.

I stamped a thank you message on the card that comes with the card holder. This is such a fun idea for a gift or party favor. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
