I was in the Dollar Tree and I saw some fun tin flower pots. There are so many ways to get creative with a flower pot but I had Christmas in mind. If your like me and you love to decorate for Christmas then you will love this idea. I am going to use the tin flower pots to create some decorative bells that I can hang on my front porch or on my front door.
The supplies you will need for this are:
1. Two small flower pots (I am using two pots that I got from the Dollar Tree)
2. Drill with drill bit (your drill bit will be the width of the twine you will be using)
3. A thick twine (I got a pack of thick twine from the Dollar Tree)
4. Scissors
5. Glue gun
6. Bells (I purchased some metal bells from Hobby Lobby in the Christmas section)
7. Thin twine or string
8. Greenery
The first step is to drill your holes into the center of the bottom of your pot.
Once your holes are drilled you will then insert your twine.
You will insert your twine down into the pot . Once your twine is inserted you will then need to tie a knot at the ends.
The knot is going to prevent your twine from slipping back out of the pot.
You will then need to tie your small bells to the knots of the thicker twine. I used a thin twine and tied one end to the small metal bell and tied the other end to the knot of the thick twine.
You will make this long enough so the your bell will just show at the edge of pot.
Once you pull the thick twine back up into the pot you want your small bell to show just at the edge. You can then add greenery to the top.
Thes will look amazing hanging almost any where in your home. You can use a variety of pots for this idea and you can even paint them a variety of colors. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
