Getting creative and transforming something to match your decor doesn’t have to be a big, time-consuming DIY. Sometimes, a few coats of spray paint are all it takes to completely change the look and make a piece stand out!

In this DIY, I’m showing just how impactful a little spray paint can be. I grabbed a few of the new butterflies from our website, added some gold spray paint, and gave them a whole new look!

You can see that these pieces started out bright purple and green! I love to add splashes of colors to my decor, but I felt like these needed to be gold to go with my porch!

You can find them on our website here: https://theshabbytreeboutique.com/search.php?search_query=butterfly

And here’s the after! That gold really pops! I thought about painting the eyes black, but ended up keeping it all gold—it just felt too pretty to change!

This is nothing new and we’ve done it before! Down below, I have some of my favorite spray paint transformations!
