Ok if you are looking for a fun Christmas decoration then you might want to check this one out. I have been decorating with a lot of Vintage Christmas decorations this year and I want to create a bigger statement item to add near my fireplace mantle. After looking through my decorations I thought it would be fun to create some larger candy canes.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Brown shipping paper

2. One wire hanger

3. Wire cutters

4. Hot glue

5. Red and white tinsel

6. Tape

The first step is to cut the top if the hanger off as shown in photo above.

Form the hanger into the shape of a candy cane.

Take some of the brown paper and roll it.

You want to wrap the brown paper around the hanger.
I used tape to secure the brown paper around the hanger.
Once you have your candy cane formed, the next step it to cover it with the white tinsel.
You can use a small amount of hot glue to hold your starting end in place.
Once you have the white tinsel on you will then add the red tinsel.
This is a very easy candy cane to make and you can add them any where in your home. I hope you will have fun and give this a try.
