Valentine’s Day is approaching and I wanted to create a fun and unique sign. When I think of Valentine’s Day I think of love. After going through my craft supplies I think I came up with a quick and easy way to create a unique love sign.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. One Dollar Tree canvas ( mine is 6x8in)
2. Scrabble pieces to spell out LOVE
3. Hot glue
4. A page from a book
5. Walnut colored gel stain by DecoArt
6. Cream chalk paint
7. Paint brush
8. Mod podge
9. Moss
The first thing I did was use the walnut gel stain on the canvas.
I then created some ruff edges around my book page.
Once I had the book page onto the canvas I then used the walnut gel stain to create a trunk for a tree.
I hot glued some of the moss onto the canvas to create the top of the tree.
I used hot glue to attach the scrabble pieces onto the canvas.
I decided to use the cream paint to create a heart to put my husbands and my initials in.
This fun sign is so easy to make and you can create it on almost anything. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
