Ok we seem to create a lot of things here at The Shabby Tree out of paper napkins. One of our amazing followers sent me an apron made out of napkins that I knew we had to make. This is so easy to make and you can use any print napkin that you want.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Square paper napkins (mine are about 6 1/2 inches )

2. Ribbon (I am using a cream ribbon from Hobby Lobby)

3. Sewing machine

4. Scissors

You will want to open the napkins and place one on top of another. I am using 10 napkins for one apron. You can use as many napkins as you want for this apron.

You will want to use a ribbon that goes well with your napkin.

I will be sewing the ribbon onto the stack of napkins. You can use the two corners at the crease lines for a guide line.

You can pin the ribbon in place before sewing if you want.

I am using a straight stitch and sewing on the ribbon.

You will sew along both long sides of the ribbon and then along the side where the napkin ends.

Once the ribbon is attached you will then cut off the top triangle piece of the napkin.

As you wear this apron you will tear off the top napkin as it gets dirty.

This is so easy to make and would make a fun gift idea. You can get so creative with this apron and use a variety of napkins.

I hope you will all get creative and give this a try. You can find the napkins I used at the link below and if you use the code “APRON” you will get 10% off your order.
