If you’re part of The Shabby Tree then you already know that I love getting creative with the Five Below rag rugs. These rugs will give you an amazing amount of fabric strips. I want to use some fabric strips to create a fun and colorful ornament.
Once you cut the rug apart you’ll then start adding the fabric strips to the ornament.
You’ll want to start at the top of the ornament. Add some hot glue going around the ornament and then add the fabric strips.
You’ll want to keep adding different fabric strips as you go down the ornament.
Once you have the ornament covered you can then use a strip of fabric to make a hanger.
I decided to add some silver tinsel to my ornament this is an optional step but I like the look of the tinsel added.
These are very easy to make and can also be used as some fun bowl fillers. I hope you’ll get creative and give these fun ornaments a try.

How fun I have a big beautiful basket that I would love to put the rag rug ornaments in with some lights what a great idea they will make a great conversation piece.

They did turn out pretty! There is so much you can do with those rugs and the strips.
I might add some tinsel alternating with the strips.
