I love to decorate my home and I love to add a variety of handmade decorations throughout my home. A banner is always a fun item to make and add to your decorations. We have made a variety of banners here at The Shabby Tree but a paper doily banner is just to easy not to try.
I will be making two different banners. The supplies for the first banner are:
1. Paper heart doilies (mine are about 4 inches)
2. Twine
3. Scissors
You will insert the twine through the paper heart doilies. I just place the twine through the holes of the heart.
I alternated the colors of the hearts and created a fun banner.
The supplies fir the second banner are:
1. Round paper doilies (I bought a pack of round doilies from the Dollar Tree)
2. Hot glue
3. Pom pom ribbon
4. Scissors
I will be using the small paper doilies for this banner. You can use any size doily for this banner.
Be sure to separate the doilies by pulling them apart. I then folded the doilies evenly in half.
I added a dab of hot glue to hold the doily shut.
I then added hot glue across the top of the fold and added the pom pom ribbon.
I just love the neutral colors of this banner. These banners can be created so many different ways.
