Ok we recently made a fun vintage pumpkin girl here at The Shabby Tree. A few of our followers were asking for one with a more primitive look. I wanted to keep her very simple and easy to make.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. One stuffed pumpkin ( I’ll be using one from our website but you can use any stuffed pumpkin)

2. A dowel or the pole from the Dollar Tree plunger

3. Hot glue

4. Scissors

5. Two tree limbs for arms

6. Drill with drill bit ( your drill bit should be the size for your tree limbs)

7. One screw

8. Black felt

9. Burlap

10. Muslin

11. Doilies ( optional)

12. One piece of wood for the base ( mine is from the Dollar Tree)

This pumpkin girl can be created so many different ways. I hope that me showing you how I made mine will get your mind going and you will get creative.

I screwed the pole from the plunger onto the piece of wood that I purchased from the Dollar Tree. You can create the base to your pumpkin girl using any type of dowel or wood.

Once I had the base formed I then glued my material to my pole.

My material measures about 39 inches by 37 inches.

I cut a hole in the center and glued it to the pole.

I added the muslin first and then the burlap.

Once I had the material glued in place I then added 2 doilies to the top.

The next step is to drill 2 holes into the pole for the arms.

I drilled them at a slant so that the arms will go upwards.

I placed a hole at the bottom of the pumpkin and then glued it onto the pole.

I cut the face out of the black felt and glued it on.

This pumpkin girl is very easy to make and will look great any where in your home. You can find the pumpkin that I used on our website by clicking the link below.
