Summer is right around the corner and I want to add a few fun and unique decorations throughout my home. I keep a lot of battery operated candles throughout my home and I thought it would be fun to create a few artificial strawberries to add to a few.

These will be very quick and easy to make and the supplies I will be using are:

1. Some small rocks

2. Paint ( red, green and white)

3. Paint brush

4. Polyurethane spray

You can find rocks when your out and about on a walk or you can purchase a small bag of small river rock. You can find bags of rocks at Home Depot.

I will be using an acrylic paint by Deco Art on my rocks. The colors I’m using are Warm White, Hauser Medium Green and Santa Red. You can use a black instead of the white. I’m using white because I want my strawberries to be bright and noticeable.

I painted the green first and then added the red.

I found it easier to use the end of a wooden kabob stick for the white.

I gave them a light coat of a polyurethane spray.

These are so easy to make and turn out great . I love these added to some greenery around a candle but are also fun to add outside. I hope you will get creative and give these a try.
