DIY Sea Shell Bunny Head

by blewis | Apr 9, 2025 | Easter/Spring, Everyday DIY | 9 comments

Summer is right around the corner which means a trip to the beach. I always love collecting sea shells when I go to the beach. I thought it would be fun to use sea shells to create a fun bunny decoration.
I found this bunny head tray in Walmart which will make this diy very quick and easy.
If you want the grab one yourself, click here: https://walmrt.us/4ia0U8b
I’ll be using sea shells and resin with this bunny tray.
Here is the link to the seashells I used: https://walmrt.us/43O9whg
Also, here is the link to my resin that I order on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09FQ19MX2?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamztheshabb-20&creativeASIN=B09FQ19MX2&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3P1T9U2GJA6TW&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_d_asin&th=1
The first step is to fill the bunny head tray with the sea shells. If you don’t have sea shells you can purchase some from Walmart.
Once you have the sea shells placed in the tray you’ll then add the resin.
Resin is very easy to use. You just need to follow the directions on the box.
I gave the resin 24 hours to dry and then I added some antique gold Rub’n Buff.
I added the Rub’n Buff to a few of the sea shells and the edge of the tray.
This was so easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this diy a try.

Love the tray but would have done resin in it and placed the shells into something more beach themed. Now I’m looking for something to put the shells in.

This is a special piece especially if you have a collection of shells. This would look beautiful at a beach house or a screened in porch. Would make an amazing display of a great collection. Great idea Barb. Thank you!
