We are always creating fun and unique items here at The Shabby Tree and we recently created an amazing blanket ladder. I thought it would be fun to create a small ladder that can be used as a decoration or for holding a hand towel.

The supplies I will be using for this ladder are:

1. Two five gallon stir sticks

2. Four small wooden cedar shims

3. Hot glue gun

4. Gel stain

5. Paint brush

You will want to glue the cedar shims onto the stir sticks.

You can glue the cedar shims as far apart as you want. I glued mine about 3 inches apart from each other.

I will be using this as the back side of my ladder. The picture below will be the front side of my ladder.

You can paint or stain your ladder.

I am using a brown gel stain on my ladder. Once I paint the gel stain onto the ladder I then use a paper towel to wipe the excess off.

This ladder is so quick and easy to create. It is a fun ladder to add to your kitchen or bathroom to hold a hand towel.

This ladder can be a fun decoration. I used a fabric strips to creat a fun Americana decoration.

I ripped strips of material and cut them about 19 inches long.

You will want to wrap the strips around the top of the ladder.

You will fold the strip of fabric in half. Wrap it around the shim and bring the strips up through the loop. I alternated prints to create a flag print.

I placed three strips of the blue star print and then alternated the red and white.

This ladder will be fun to add throughout your home for a fun decoration.
