Ok I want to do a winter wonderland theme in my dining room this year for Christmas. I have a buffet and I thought it would be fun to create a snow scene to place on one of the trays I keep on top.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. Safety cones from the Dollar Tree

2. Snow roll from our website

3. Hot glue

4. Elmer’s spray adhesive

5. Crystal glitter ( I like to call it sugar glitter)

6. Scissors

7. Box cutter

8. Heirloom White colored spray paint by Rust-oleum

The first step is to cut the safety cones. I used scissors and a box cutter but a dremel would work great too.

I cut an opening in the larger cone because I want to add a snowman to the inside.

I spray painted both cones with the Heirloom White colored spray paint. This will help prevent any of the orange color showing through.

Once the paint is dry you’ll cover them with the snow roll.

I added hot glue and wrapped the snow roll around the cone.

I added a small chunk of the snow roll to the top of the cones to give the cone more of a tree shape.

I added some of the snow roll to the inside cut out area.

Once I had the cones covered with the snow roll I then sprayed them with the spray adhesive.

I used the spray adhesive and then sprinkled on the glitter.

I placed the box to the battery operated snowflake lights up under the smaller cone. The snowflake lights are from Walmart.

I added some small wooden snowmen from Target that I painted gold. You can create your scene in a dough bowl or on a tray.

This was very easy to make and I love how they look together. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
