DIY Snowman Using Doilies

I’m so excited to be selling doilies on our website and I’m excited to get creative with them. I thought it would be fun to use some to create a fun snowman.

You can find the supplies that I’ll be using for this snowman down below.

1. Cardboard

2. Pack of 3 doilies from our website

3. Hot glue

4. X-acto knife

5. Ivory and black chalk paint by Waverly

6. Two sticks from the yard

7. Three wooden shims

8. Paint brush

The next step is to paint all three cardboard circles with the ivory chalk paint.

Once the chalk paint is dry you’ll then glue on the doilies.

The next step is to cut out a 8”x6” piece of cardboard.

You’ll want to cut another piece of cardboard the size of a ruler stick. You’ll use these two pieces of cardboard to create a hat for the snowman.

You’ll paint these pieces of cardboard with the black chalk paint.

Once you have the cardboard painted you’ll then glue the two pieces together.

Once you have the hat formed you’ll then glue the three doily pieces together.

Once you have the three doily pieces glued together with the hat you’ll then glue wooden shims to the back side.

The last step is to place the sticks under the wooden shims as shown in photo above.

This snowman is so easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this diy snowman a try.
