It seems like we create a lot of angels and angel wings here at The Shabby Tree. I recently picked up a few wooden legs at Home Depot and I just know we can create a very quick and easy angel out of one.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One 9” traditional leg from Home Depot

2. Dollar Tree cookie tin

3. Dollar tree mop pad

4. Hot glue

5. Silver tinsel

6. Hammer

7. Small nails

8. Scissors

9. Polyurethane spray

10. Cinnamon

11. Espresso colored paint by DecoArt

12. Burnt Sienna colored paint by deco art

13. Pliers

The first step is to remove the screw from the wooden leg.

I then painted the leg using the Burnt Sienna colored paint.

I then added some of the espresso paint over the Burnt Sienna.

I sprinkled on some cinnamon and then gave it a coat of polyurethane spray.

You will want to cut the edge of the cookie tin off.

You will fold the cookie tin in half and cut out an angel wing. Make your angel wings to fit the size of the mop pad

My mop pad has been dipped in instant coffee to give it a grunge look.

I added hot glue to the cookie tin wings and then placed them onto the back side of the mop pad.

You will cut around the cookie tin wings.

You will hammer the wings onto the wooden leg as shown in photo above.

I added hot glue to the top and then placed the tinsel onto the hot glue.

This is a very easy angel to make and you can create it any color that you want. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
