I love filling my home with fun and unique decor pieces. If you walked through my house, you’d see a mix of old silver, glass, and cream-colored items all styled together. I thought it would be fun to get creative and use a few vintage silver pieces to make a wreath that’s truly one of a kind.

There are a few different ways you can make this wreath. You can either glue the pieces together or screw them together — whichever works best for you.

I’ll be doing it both ways so you can see how easy this project really is.

The first step is to decide how you want to hang your wreath. I’ll be hanging mine using wire, so I drilled two holes into the bottom tray of my wreath. You can layer as many silver pieces as you’d like for this project. I’ll be using two silver pieces for my wreath.

Once the holes are drilled, you can add the wire to hang your wreath.

You’ll want to flip the tray over to create a loop for hanging.

The next step is to add your second silver piece. I’ll be using a knob with a screw to secure the two silver pieces together. To do this, I drilled a hole through the center of both pieces so the knob could be added.

I placed the knob through the hole and secured it in place from the back side.

Once I had the first wreath finished, I started on the second wreath. I drilled holes through the first silver piece and added the wire.

Once I had the wire in place, I added some Gorilla Glue along with a touch of hot glue.

I added my second silver piece on top and then glued on an embellishment.

I decided to add some Rub ’n Buff to the knob and trim on my first wreath.

These wreaths turned out amazing and will look great anywhere in your home. I hope you’ll search for some old silver and give this fun DIY a try. You can find photos of wreaths I’ve made in the past down below.
