While sorting through my craft supplies, I discovered just how much yarn I’ve been holding onto. So, I whipped up some yarn pom-poms and decided to turn a few into a playful Fall container!

You can find these items directions for the pom Pom’s by clicking the link down below.
You’ll find the list of supplies that I’ll be using for this Fall container down below.
1. One 10x6x6 cardboard box
2. X-acto knife
3. Scissors
4. Hot glue
5. Thirty five yarn pom Pom’s
6. Burlap

You’ll want a piece of paper the same size as the front of the box. This paper will be used to cut a pumpkin pattern.

You’ll want to fold the paper in half and draw a pumpkin shape.

I came down 2 inches for the stem.

I want the curve of the pumpkin to start about 4.25” down from the top of the box.

You’ll want to cut the pattern out and trace it onto the box.

You will use the x-acto knife to cut the shape out.

You’ll want to go around the box and cut the remaining sides the same height.

Once you have the box cut you’ll then glue the burlap to the sides.

Once I had the burlap onto the sides I then folded the top over the edge of the box and glued it down.

The next step is to glue the pom pom’s to the front of the box.

I started with 4 pom pom’s on the first row and then five pom pom’s for the second row.

Once you have the pom pom’s glued in place you’ll then cover the stem with burlap.

I grabbed one of the trees from our website and put it in the container for a fun touch! You can find the tree I used here: https://theshabbytreeboutique.com/simple-pine-tree-with-lights-36-inch/
This was very easy to make and will make a great tree container for Fall. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
