Ok we have all been waiting for the Dollar Tree to put out their Fall and Halloween decorations. I went in a few days ago and I got a few plastic skeletons. These skeletons are cute as is but I really wanted to add some sparkle to them. I know a lot of you don’t like the mess with glitter but I think I found a very easy way to add the glitter to this skeleton.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One plastic skeleton from the Dollar Tree

2. Paint brush

3. DecoArt Galaxy Glitter (I’m using Silver Moon)

4. DecoArt Glitter Basecoat

5. DecoArt Metallic Paint (I’m using color Tin)

You can find all three of these DecoArt products in Michael’s.

The first step is to mix the paint with the glitter basecoat.

Once I had the paint and glitter basecoat mixed together I then painted it onto the skeleton.

You will want to let the skeleton dry before going on to the next step.

Once the skeleton is dry you will want to add the Galaxy Glitter. I am using the Silver Moon color over the Tin colored paint mixture. This is such a quick and easy way to add glitter to your project. I found this to be less messy then having to sprinkle a glitter all over the skeleton.

I covered the whole skeleton with the Galaxy Glitter and then I hung him to dry.

You will love how easy the Glitter Basecoat is to use and mix with any colored paint. I hope you will all get creative and give this a try.
