The Dollar Tree is putting out their Easter decorations and you might want to pick up one of the styrofoam bunny’s. I was looking at a variety of their items but the styrofoam bunny caught my eye. This is just a plain white styrofoam bunny but I just know we can easily make it look like a vintage bunny mold.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. One styrofoam craft bunny from the Dollar Tree

2. Clean kut Foam Cutter ( I purchased this in Walmart)

3. Scrap piece of cardboard

4. Marker

5. Hot glue

6. Tin colored paint by DecoArt

7. Black Vintage Effect Wash by DecoArt

8. Box cutter

9. Paint brush

You will need to cut the styrofoam bunny evenly in half and the Clean Kut foam cutter makes it very easy to do.

You will want to cut right down the center line of the bunny.

The Clean Kut tool will get hot and melt right through the styrofoam.

Once you have the bunny cut in half you will want to trace one half onto a piece of cardboard. Be sure to trace about a half an inch larger as shown in photo below.

Once my pattern was traced I then used a box cutter to cut it out.

The next step is to glue the bunnies to each side of the cardboard.

Once I had the bunnies glued onto the cardboard I then painted them with the tin colored paint.

You will want to paint the entire thing with the tin colored paint. It took me two coats to completely get it covered.

I then added the black colored Vintage Effect Wash over the tin. This will help give it that vintage look.

This is very easy to make and turns out amazing. You can place this any where in your home for a fun Spring and Easter decoration. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
