My Dollar Tree has recently changed to a Dollar Tree Plus. They now have some new items that range from $3.00 to $5.00. One of the new sections had a variety of unfinished wood items. They had a round wood plaque that I knew we could get creative with. This plaque will work perfect for a wreath insert.

This round wood plaque can be used for so many different things but it works great for the center of a wreath.

The supplies I will be using for this Diy are:
1. Black chalkboard paint
2. Paint brush
3. Wire
4. Wire cutters
5. Drill and drill bit

The first step is to drill two holes into the round wood disk. You will drill one hole on each side of the disk.

Once you have the holes drilled you will then paint on the chalkboard paint.
I gave this about 3 good coats. You will want to be sure to let each coat dry before adding on the next coat.

I used chalkboard paint because you can now use it as a message board. You can change out the message for different seasons or holidays.

I like to use a stencil and a chalk pen to write my message.

I added a piece of wire to each hole and then attached the wood to the wreath.

You can take a wet cloth and wipe off the message to add a new message.

There may be times that you have to go over your message once you lift the stencil.

This is so easy to make and I hope you will give it a try.
