To make these adorable pumpkins, you’ll just need a few simple supplies—orange and green pipe cleaners, plus a pen to help shape them into perfect little spirals.
Grab an orange pipe cleaner and start wrapping it nice and tight around a pen or marker. This is going to give you the cutest little spiral.
Keep going with more orange pipe cleaners until your pen is full. I like to push them close together so my pumpkin is nice and fluffy.
Slide your spirals off the pen—these are going to be the “ribs” of your pumpkin. You’ll need a few for each one.
Take a green pipe cleaner and slide one orange spiral onto it.
Keep adding the rest of your spirals until they’re all stacked on the green pipe cleaner.
Now just tuck one end of your green pipe cleaner through the other side so it loops together.
You’ll thread it right through the center of those orange spirals.
This is the spot where you can pull it snug and shape your pumpkin just the way you like it!
Now’s the time to give the orange part a little help if it needs it—make sure it’s shaped just the way you want!
I went ahead and pulled both green ends right through the center.
I started twisting the green ends together to form the stem.
I just snipped the stem to the length I liked.
You can play around with the number of pipe cleaners to make different sizes! My smaller pumpkins used three pipe cleaners, and the bigger ones were made with six.
