Glass Jar Makeover Using Rice Paper

by blewis | May 29, 2025 | Red, White, & Blue | 9 comments

I recently found two old glass bottles at a yard sale that I’ve been wanting to get creative with. These glass bottles are great as is but I decided to change them up a bit. I’ll be using rice paper from European Excellency for this fun little makeover.
You can find the rice paper that I’ll be using on European Excellency by clicking my referral link down below.

The first step is to rip or cut the rice paper to size.
You’ll add the rice paper to the glass jar using mod podge.
I added some mod podge around the edge of the rice paper and then sprinkled on some glitter.
You can find the glitter that I like to use on 143 Vinyl by clicking my referral link down below.

These turned out great and will look amazing any where in your home. I hope you’ll have fun and get creative with some rice paper.

Barb, the jars turned out amazing. I think we have some jars similar as my husband picked up some Old Coca Cola syrup bottles recently. If he doesn’t put in his antique booth, I may can use one and ordered some of the paper. I have been meaning to order some with flowers possibly hydrangeas. You come up with great ideas.💦💦💦💦💦💦🌲
