I love getting creative with hang tags and I love using them on all different things. We have coffee stained many hang tags here at The Shabby Tree but I found a fun Distress Ink Kit that I want try on some simple hang tags. This Distress Ink Kit should give the hang tags an old grungy look.

I found this Distress Ink Kit by Tim Holtz in my local JOANN Fabric store.

This ink kit comes with different colored inks and a small booklet to show you a few different techniques that you can use.

If you love the primitive or grungy look then I strongly suggest you give this kit a try.

The kit comes with a small spray bottle for water. You can spray your hand and allow the drippings to fall onto the tag or you can spray the entire tag.

I used a heat gun on my tags to dry them quickly.

here are so many different looks you can achieve with this kit.

I decoupaged some rice paper onto a few of my tags. You can find all different prints of rice paper on European Excellency and you can check them out by clicking the link down below. Be sure to use CODE Barb for a 10% discount on any purchase.
