If your following The Shabby Tree then you all know I’m obsessed with trees. When I saw these grapevine trees in Hobby Lobby I knew I had to have them for a diy. This is such a simple diy and can be created to match any decor you have in your home.

The supplies you will need are:

1. Grapevine tree from Hobby Lobby

2. Material if your choice

3. Scissors

4. Glue gun

5. Marker

6. 2 pieces of wood for base( this is if you want the tree to stand)

The first thing you need to do is lay the tree onto your material. Take your marker and trace the tree. I traced a little bigger to be sure that it was going to cover all the grapevine.

Next cut your tree pattern out and place it on top of the grapevine tree. You will glue this onto the grapevine tree with glue gun.

I am cutting the material from trunk so that I can glue it onto my wooden block. I am using 2 wooden blocks which I will be flying into back and front of tree trunk. These blocks will allow my tree to stand up. You can cover the blocks with material, leave them natural wood finish or paint them.

I love this tree because it allows you to be creative and design a tree that will fit well with you style. I have created quilted trees and also made a few lace trees.
