I love decorating for Christmas and I love creating my own Christmas decor. We’ve made so many different types of Christmas decorations here at The Shabby Tree. I want to create some fun and large decorative Christmas ornaments this year.
The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. Two clear plastic bowls from the Dollar Tree
2. One set of round metal storage containers from the Dollar Tree
3. Hot glue
4. E6000 glue
5. Apple Red and Meadow Green spray paint
6. Wired silver tinsel
7. Drill and drill bit
The first step is to spray paint the bowls. I spray painted two red and two green.
I drilled a hole into the center of the bottom part of the container.
I added the wired tinsel through the hole and twisted it underneath the hole.
The last step is to glue all the pieces together. I added the E6000 glue to the edge of one bowl and added a few drops of hot glue.
You’ll want to add the E6000 glue and hot glue to the small container and place it on top.
You can make these in a variety of colors. These are so quick and easy to make and will make a great Christmas decoration. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
I love these ornaments. I’m going to make some for my porch decorations with my grandkids at a thanksgiving. Thank you for the idea.
Those ornaments are awesome. What a great creative idea. I can even make something like that. Thank you for the great idea Barb. I love following the Shabby Tree.
