We have some cute burlap flags on our website that I want to get creative with. I thought it would be fun to turn one into a simple pillow.
The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. One 20” burlap flag from our website
2. Surebonder fabric glue
3. Scissors
4. Burlap feed sack from a thrift store
5. Fiberfil stuffing
6. Twine
7. Doll needle
The first step is to cut the edge of the flag off as shown in photo above.
The next step is to cut the feed sack to the size of the flag. You can use any type of material that you want for this pillow. I’m leaving about half an inch of material going around the flag.
The next step is to glue all three sides of the material together.
Once you have all three sides glued together you should have something that looks like a pillow case.
The next step is to glue the flag to the pillow case.
Once you have the flag glued in place you’ll then add the stuffing.
Once you have the stuffing added you’ll then glue the opening closed.
I decided to sew some twine around the edge of the pillow. This is an optional step. You can find the flag on our website by clicking the link down below.

This flag was very quick and easy to make. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
