How To Make A Pumpkin Tree

by blewis | Jul 10, 2024 | Fall/Halloween, Holiday | 9 comments

We recently put a bag of pumpkins on our website and I want to get creative with them. These pumpkins are a great decoration for Fall and will look great in a dough bowl or on a tiered tray. I thought it would be fun to use these pumpkins to create a fun and unique pumpkin tree.
The supplies that I’ll be using for this tree are listed down below.
1. Two bags of pumpkins
2. One bag of moss
3. One paper mache cone
4. Hot glue
You can find this bag of pumpkins on our website by clicking the link down below.

The first step is to add hot glue to the paper mache cone and then add the moss. I’m using a 12 inch paper mache cone from Amazon. You can find the paper mache cones that I ordered from Amazon on my Amazon store front by clicking the link down below.

I purchased the bag of moss that I’m using from Home Goods.
Once the moss is added to the paper mache cone you’ll then start adding the pumpkins. If you use a smaller paper mache cone then one bag of pumpkins should work. I needed a few more pumpkins for my 12 inch tree.
You’ll want to start adding the pumpkins at the top of the tree first.
I added hot glue to the moss and to the pumpkin. You’ll need to hold the pumpkin in place for a bit until the glue starts dry.
I stained a terra cotta pot and added my tree to the pot.
This tree was so easy to make and will look great on my mantel for Fall. I hope you’ll get creative and give this tree a try.

I love this pumpkin tree. I did a dried orange tree before and added cinnamon sticks. I bet the pumpkin would smell good sprinkled with cinnamon and vanilla maybe added to the moss.
