We started creatine some Fall decor here at The Shabby Tree. I love Fall but I also love Halloween. There are so many fun ways that you can decorate for Halloween. I thought it would be fun to create a few spiders that can be created any color that you want.

The supplies that I’ll be using for this spider are:

1. One foam egg carton

2. Scissors

3. Americana acrylic paint by DecoArt ( Lamp Black)

4. Paint brush

5. Bling by Totally Dazzled

6. Hot glue

We’ll be using the bottom part of the egg carton for this spider.

You’ll want to cut the bottom part of the egg carton into 3 sections as shown in photo above.

I trimmed one section which will be the main body to my spider.

The two side sections will be used to create the legs to the spider. I cut the two sides into 3 strips as shown in photo above.

Once you have both side legs cut you’ll then cut 2 more legs out of the last section of the egg carton.

Once I had the spider created I then painted it.

You can paint your spider any color that you want.

I decided to add a coat of a polyurethane spray to help protect the paint.

I decided to add some bling to my spider. This is an optional step but I thought it would make the spider fun and unique. You can find the bling that I’m using on Totally Dazzled by clicking the link down below.

This spider is very easy to make and will look great mixed in with your Halloween decorations. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
