I recently ordered some Christmas pillow case covers from Amazon that I’m in love with. These pillow cases are so pretty that I wanted to try and get creative with some. I thought it would be fun to turn one into a decorative tree for Christmas.
The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. One pillow case cover from Amazon
2. Surebonder glue
3. Poly-fil stuffing
4. Scissors
5. Red silk ribbon from our website
6. One candle holder from our website
You can find the pillow cases that I ordered from Amazon on my Amazon store front by clicking the link down below.
The first step is to fold the pillow case in half. I drew the shape of a tree as shown in photo above. You want to be sure that the bottom part will be at least 6.25” to 6.5” wide when opened up.
Once I had the tree cut out I then cut the zipper off of the bottom part.
Once you have the tree cut out you’ll then glue both pieces together with the surebonder glue. Glue the sides but do not glue the bottom part together.
You want to leave the bottom opened so that you can add the candle holder.
Add the stuffing to the tree.
Once you have the stuffing added you’ll then add the candle holder.
You can find the candle holder that I’m using on our website by clicking the link down below.
Once I had the candle holder added I then tied a red silk ribbon around the bottom to secure the tree in place. I used a ribbon so that I can change the tree out for different seasons or holidays.
This tree turned out so cute and it was so quick and easy to make. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
I remember this it was a Friday night hangout craft. It turned out so cute
I really like the Christmas Tree you made. It turned out so nice.
I love how you used these Santa pillow covers. They turned out great!
