Ok if you’re part of The Shabby Tree then you already know that I love all types of decorative trees. A follower of ours recently gave me an amazing tree made out of glass bowls and cups. I thought it would be fun to create something similar out of plastic bowls and cups.
The main supplies that you’ll need for this tree are listed down below.
1. Plastic bowls of different sizes
2. Plastic cups that are different heights.
3. E6000 glue
You can find the plastic bowls and cups that i’m using from Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby and Home Goods. I will be adding a few plastic plates from Walmart and Dollar Tree. This tree can be created any way that you want. I love this idea because there is no right or wrong way to make this tree.
I decided to add a base to my tree so I purchased this plastic container from Walmart.
I used some needle nose piers to remove the lid. This is the perfect container because it will allow me to add a puck light underneath the tree.
The opening will be at the bottom and then I added some E6000 glue to top edge.
I placed my largest plastic bowl from the Dollar Tree on top.
I then added E6000 glue to the bowl as shown in photo above.
I placed a plate from the Dollar Tree on top of the bowl.
I added E6000 glue to the rim of my glass from Home Goods.
I decided to add a few plastic crystals to a few of my bowls. I drilled a few holes going around the bowl close to the edge of the bowl.
Once the holes were drilled I then added the crystals. You can find the crystals that I’m using on my Amazon store front by clicking the link down below.

I added glue to the cup and then placed the bowl on top.
I added glue to the bowl and then placed a plate from Walmart on top of the bowl.
I added glue to the rim of a cup from Home Goods and then placed the cup onto the plate.
I then added glue to the cup and placed a bowl from the Dollar Tree on top of the cup.
I then added another cup from Home Goods and then a small bowl from Hobby Lobby. You will see that I added some crystals to the small bowl on top.
I decided to cut the bottom off of this cup to create the top of the tree.
This tree was so easy to make and I think it turned out amazing. I hope this will inspire you to get creative and give this tree a try.
It will look amazing at night with the puck light underneath.
