If you’re part of The Shabby Tree then you already know that I love making fun and unique items for my home. I thought it would be fun to create a unique wreath that can be hung on your door or any where in your home. This wreath will be made out of a variety of plastic bowls and trays.
The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. Two plastic trays from the Dollar Tree
2. One plastic bowl from the Dollar Tree
3. Three plastic bowls from Amazon
4. One crystal knob
5. Drill and drill bit
6. Dremel
7. Antique Pewter spray paint by Rust-oleum
8. Antique Gold Rub’n Buff
The first step is to drill a hole in the center of each bowl and tray. You will use a drill bit that is the same size as the screw to your knob.
Once you have all of the holes drilled you’ll then spray paint a few of the plastic items. I’m alternating my plastic bowls and trays with the Antique Pewter spray paint.
The next step is to start attaching all of the bowls and trays together by using the knob.
I want to hang this wreath so I drilled 2 small holes to add wire for a hanger.
You’ll place the knob through the smallest bowl first as shown in photo above.
You’ll continue adding the bowls and trays from smallest to largest.
Once you have all of the bowls and trays added you’ll then add the nut to secure them all in place.
I used a dremel to cut off the end of the bolt.
I added some of the Antique Gold Rub’n Buff to the edges of the bowls and trays.
This is such a fun and unique wreath to make. There are so many different ways to get creative with this wreath. You can paint this wreath any color that you want. I also think this wreath would look great if you decoupaged napkins onto a few of the bowls. I hope you’ll get creative and give this wreath a try.
