I want to create a simple tree that can be hung on my wall or placed on my mantel. My mantel is filled with my vintage Santas so I need some type of flat tree to fit with the Santas.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. One staple gun

2. One piece of wood ( 24”x5.5”)

3. Nine flocked sprigs (13” long)

4. Wire cutters

The wood that I’m using came from hobby Lobby.

I stapled the first sprig to the top of the wood as shown in photo above and below.

I cut the stems off of the next two stems.

I stapled each sprig on the side of the first sprig. The sprigs were placed on the sides but facing down as shown in photo below.

Once I had the first 3 sprigs stapled in place I then added another sprig to the center.

Once I had the center sprig stapled in place I then added two more sprigs to the sides. I did not cut these stems as short as the first ones because I want these stems to come out farther.

I decided to add another sprig down the center and then the last two to the sides. This will be a total of 9 sprigs.

You can find the sprigs that I used on our website by clicking the link down below.

I hope you’ll get creative and give this fun tree a try.
