So many of you seem to love adding angel decor throughout our home. We have made a variety of angels here at The Shabby Tree. I want to try and create a fun and unique angel out of a beautiful greenery drop.
This beautiful greenery drop will work perfect for the body of an angel.
The supplies that I’ll be using for this angel are listed down below.
1. One large greenery drop from our website
2. One set of cookie sheets from the Dollar Tree
3. Hot glue
4. X-acto knife
5. Scissors
6. Cardboard
7. Waverly antique wax
8. Waverly Truffle chalk paint
9. One 5.6” smooth styrofoam ball
10. Tinsel
11. Drill and a large 1” drill bit
12. Wire
The first step is to drill or cut a hole through the center of the styrofoam ball.
I want the top of the greenery drop to slide up through the hole.
The next step is to paint the styrofoam ball with the truffle colored chalk paint.
Once the chalk paint was dry I then added on the antique wax.
The next step is to create the wings to your angel. I cut a large pieces of shipping paper to make a pattern. I want to create each wing from each cookie sheet.
Once I had the wings cut out I then glued them together.
Once I had the wings glued together I then traced them onto a piece of cardboard.
I used an x-acto knife to cut them out.
I glued the cookie sheet wings to the cardboard wings.
I decided to add some of the antique wax over the angel wings.
I created two small holes into the center of the wings to add wire.
I attached the wings to the greenery drop.
I added some tinsel to the top of the head for a halo.
This angel was so quick and easy to make and can be placed any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this angel a try.
