I seem to find myself in Walmart a lot lately and I’ve been finding some great craft items. You can find some wooden plaques in Walmart that can be easily changed into some fun and unique decorative pumpkins.
The large round plaque is 15 inches and $14.98. The oval plaque is 8×11 inches and $8.77.
These wooden plaques can easily be turned into pumpkins and the supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. Round wooden plaques from Walmart
2. Rustic Orange spray paint by Rust-Oleum
3. Maple gel stain by DecoArt
4. Hot glue
5. Scissors
6. Burlap leaves from the Dollar General
7. Wooden shim
8. Spanish Moss 8. Paint brush
The first thing that I did was spray paint both wooden plaques.
Once I had them spray painted with the Rustic Orange I then added some of the Maple colored gel stain.
I cut some stems for the pumpkins out of the wooden shims.
I added some of the gel stain to the wooden shims and then I glued them to back side of the pumpkins.
I glued on the burlap leaves and the Spanish Moss.
These pumpkins were so quick and easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give these unique pumpkins a try.
