You guys know I love a good bargain—and if it’s crafty, even better! I took a little stroll through Walmart and found some of my favorite supplies that I just had to share. Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting out, these are the items I always grab when I see them. Let me show you what caught my eye!
Dry Floral Foam – $2.47
I use this stuff all the time! It’s perfect for holding faux flowers in place, and I’ve even used it inside mugs and old containers for quick little arrangements. It’s easy to cut, holds things steady, and it’s just one of those things I like to keep on hand.
1 lb. of Buttons – $9.97
I’m a sucker for buttons. These big bags are loaded with all sorts of colors and sizes. They’re great for embellishing crafts, filling up cute jars, or even making little button trees. I love using them for anything whimsical or fun!
25-Piece All Media Brush Set – $6.78
You can never have too many paint brushes—trust me on that! This set has all kinds of shapes and sizes and works great with Mod Podge, chalk paint, and everything in between. I grab these because I am not great at cleaning my brushes, so these are great because they are cheap and easy to keep on hand!
Faux Floral Bouquets – Starting at $2.98
Walmart always surprises me with their faux flowers. These bouquets are full and colorful, and I love mixing a few together for wreaths or quick little arrangements. Even just popping a few in a vintage vase adds a nice touch around the house.
Wood Blanks & Trays – Prices Vary
Oh, I could spend all day in this aisle! There are trays, signs, boxes—you name it! These are my favorite for painting, stenciling, and adding napkins or bling. I like to grab a few and let the ideas come to me later.
Alphabet & Decorative Stencils – Starting at $3.47
If you want a quick way to make something look cute and clean, these stencils are it. I use them on signs, fabric, trays—you name it! They’re easy to use and give your projects a polished look without too much effort.
Waverly & Apple Barrel Chalk Paint – $1.78 to $7.27
These paints are my go-to! The Waverly chalk paint gives great coverage (especially on wood), and the Apple Barrel colors are just great to have around. I like to keep a variety of shades in my stash for whatever project pops up.
Mod Podge – $4.94
You guys already know this is one of my all-time favorites. I use Mod Podge on napkin crafts, shoes, signs—everything! It seals things beautifully and adds that little bit of shine or texture, depending on the finish you choose.
Air-Dry Clays
I’ve got a soft spot for clay—especially the kind you don’t have to bake! The Sculpey Air-Dry Clay is one of my favorites for more detailed projects. It’s smooth, easy to shape, and dries nice and solid, perfect for making little ornaments, faux candies, or embellishments you can paint.
But if you’re just looking for something fun and colorful—maybe crafting with the grandkids or making something quick—the Play-Doh-style air dry clay is a blast! It comes in bright colors, is super easy to mold, and still dries firm without the mess. Whether you’re making something fancy or just having a little fun, these clays are great to have on hand!
Pipe Cleaners
These are great to have around, especially for holiday crafting. I use them for angels, elves, gnomes, and even just to add a little curl or fun texture to a project. The jumbo ones are so bright and playful—I love them!
Crafting doesn’t have to cost a fortune. I love finding affordable supplies that spark creativity, and Walmart always has something fun. Next time you’re there, take a peek down the craft aisle—you might just find your next favorite thing. And if you do, let me know what you’re making with it!
I have so many things from Walmart that you have shown. I only leave about a mile away so I go just about everyday. I have never bought any wood from them though. Thank you for sharing
I have everything on this blog !! So I’m always ready Barb !!!
Walmart is a great place for all these items at affordable prices. Better quality than some Dollar Tree items and better prices than Hobby Lobby on some items.
