Dollar Tree has started putting out their Christmas items, and I couldn’t resist picking up a few round plastic ball ornaments. They’re the perfect blank canvas for a fun holiday makeover!
Step 1: Paint the Ornaments
I started by painting the clear plastic ornaments with ivory chalk paint. This gives them a smooth, matte finish that’s perfect for a classic, wintery look.
Step 2: Create Designs with Hot Glue
Next, use the hot glue to create fun and unique designs on the ornaments. You can make swirls, stripes, or any pattern you like to give the ornaments a personalized and textured look.
Step 3: Apply Rub ‘n Buff
Once the hot glue has dried completely, apply Rub ‘n Buff over the ornament. This will highlight the raised designs and give the ornament a beautiful, metallic finish.
These ornaments are so fun and easy to make, and they add a unique, handmade touch to your Christmas decor. I hope you’ll get creative and give them a try—it’s a great way to personalize your holiday decorations!
Easy is the magic word. I don’t have a crafty bone in my body, but I can do a lot of Barb’s crafts because she makes them easy. Thanks Barb. Sprinkled DIY
