I’m seeing so many cute pop up greeting cards in the stores right now. Walmart has a great selection of Christmas ones. The Grinch pop up card from Walmart caught my eye and I just knew we had to give it a makeover.
I want to turn this pop up card into a fun and easy Christmas decoration.
The supplies that I’ll be using are:
1. One pop up Grinch card from Walmart
2. One large glass vase from Walmart
3. Snow roll
4. Mica flakes
5. Colored pom pom’s
6. Hot glue
7. Small bottle brush trees
Pushing down on the bottom of the card will make the card pop open.
I removed the bottom red paper ring that went around the card and added some hot glue to the bottom of the card.
I then placed the card down into the glass case.
This glass vase is from Walmart and the label is in the photo above.
I added some pieces of a snow roll and some mica flakes around the bottom of the card.
I added just a few tiny bottle brush trees to the card.
I placed the glass vase in the center of a candle ring and then glued some pom pom’s onto the candle ring.
I added a small strand of battery operated lights to the candle ring. This turned out so cute and festive and will look great mixed in with my vintage Christmas decorations.
I hope you’ll take a second look at pop up cards and find a fun way to get creative with them.
